Uniform Update for LET I Cadets
On Sept 1st and 2nd we will have a tailor from a local alterations shop here at BRHS to fit our new cadets for their uniforms. Here is a timeline leading up to our first uniform inspections. All dates are approximate based on previous years turn around from alteration shop.
1-2 Sept: Uniform fitting
10 Sept: Uniforms returned from alterations
Week of 14 Sept: LET I classes on uniform wear, policies, positioning of devices
Week of 21 Sept: same as above
24-25 Sept: Uniforms sent home with students
29-30 Sept: First uniform inspections
There may be some students that get off track with this plan due to specific size shortages. To preplan as much as possible I have attached a questionnaire on clothing and shoe sizes. I will also have paper copies available in class tomorrow.
Uniform inspections are every week, Tuesday or Wednesday depending on when they have JROTC. Inspections count for 30% of the grade. It is the cadet's responsibility to ensure they wear their uniform on the proper day and have all items. If a cadet has a conflict, such as cheerleading wearing their cheer outfit due to a game day, they must communicate this at least 24 hours in advance so we can agree on a make up plan.
All cadets will be provided a letter outlining their responsibilities of uniform care. This document will include costs of lost or damaged uniform items. Both the cadet and parent are required to sign and return the acknowledgement.
