About Me

As a child my parents instilled the idea of being a lifelong learner and the belief that learning doesn't just happen sitting at a desk in a classroom. I enjoyed exploring and creating in our yard, as well as in our basement workshop. I think I loved the process as much as the outcome. As a STEAM teacher I look forward to introducing my students to the design process and help them explore all things STEAM.

I graduated from UNC - Chapel Hill with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I also have a degree in Psychology from UNC- Charlotte. I am originally from New Jersey but I have lived in North Carolina for 41 years. For 25 of those years, my husband and I have lived in the Charlotte area. I have three children who were lucky enough to attend Bain and I am fortunate to continue to work at such a special school. I have enjoyed teaching Kindergarten, Technology, and now STEAM Lab at Bain.
