NATIONAL RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS DAY IS FEBRUARY 17, 2023
In conjunction with this national day, we will be raising awareness as well as fundraising for our Global Sister School in Malawi. The school is in need of sports equipment to improve the educational experience of the students who attend. We are partnering with WeHelpTwo https://go.wehelptwo.com and selling funky socks to raise money that will be donated to Equitas, Inc https://www.equitas.cc/ for the Village Schoolhouse Project.
We also will be selling socks at school on Thursday, February 16th. $5 for single pair or 3 pairs for $12.00. CASH ONLY!
School Choice Options for High School
CMS offers many magent program options for rising 9th graders. Students at ARMS in the IB program for the 2022-2023 school year can continue IB at East Mecklenburg High School. These students do not need to participate in the lottery to continue IB. Registration will begin in March.
IB students who are interested in another magnet program other than IB for high school need to complete the lottery process and request the programs by first, second and third choice. Placement in another magnet program is NOT guaranteed.
IB students who do not want to continue IB or any other magnet program for high school and want to go to their home high school (school assigned based on your address), you MUST complete the lottery to exit IB and request to be placed in your home high schoo. Currently PowerSchool has you listed to attend East Meck, so when you pick your classes in march for Fall, 2023, your class choices will be sent to East.
