Complaints Procedure

When Students, Parents and/or Guardians have a concern related to the IB Programmer at ARMS, they should do the following:

Classroom-based concerns (grades, instructional practices, etc.)

• Address concerns with teacher- via email, phone call, or a conference

• Escalate concerns to

  • IB coordinator

  • School counselor (assigned to student by grade level)

  • Assistant principal (assigned to student by last name alpha, or to specific departments)

• Escalate concerns to Principal

• Escalate concerns to Area Superintendent

• Escalate concerns to the school district

  • On the district website, there is a subsection for the Board of Education where the elected representatives of neighborhoods and communities can hear and address family concerns. (www.cms.k12.nc.us)
