CLUB OFFICIALS LEARNING SEMINAR AND DISTRICT ASSEMBLY
The Rotaract Club of CMRIT participated in the Club Officials Learning Seminar (COLS) and District Assembly organized on 31st August 2025 at AIMS Institutes, Peenya. The event brought together Rotaractors from across District 3192 for a day of learning, leadership training, and networking.
The program was graced by DG. RTN. PROF. Dr. Elizabeth Cherian, District Governor, as the Chief Guest, along with Guest of Honour Dr. B. M. Ramamurthy, Principal of AIMS Institutes, and PHF. RTR. RTN. Janice Philip, District Rotaract Representative. Their inspiring words emphasized leadership, responsibility, and values in service.
📚PAGES OF HOPE
Pages of Hope was a book donation drive by the Rotaract Club of CMRIT aimed at spreading knowledge and promoting recycling. Students, faculty, and staff donated textbooks, novels, self-help books, notebooks, and newspapers. The collected books were directed to underprivileged students and libraries, while recyclable materials were used to raise funds for noble causes, fostering community awareness and unity for social good.
The Pages of Hope book donation drive, held on 17th & 18th September 2025 at CCD, CMRIT, received an overwhelming
response from students and faculty. Over the two days, 543 textbooks, novels, self-help guides, 240 kg of recyclable
materials, and used notebooks were collected, reflecting the generosity of 46 student donors, 5 faculty donors, and the
Library.
GATEWAY TO SUCCESS
The Rotaract Club of CMRIT organized an expert talk titled “GATEway to Success” on 25th September 2025 at the A.V. Hall, D Block. The session, led by Dr. Sivasubramanyam Medasani, Professor at K.S. School of Engineering & Management, aimed to guide students in preparing for the GATE exam while emphasizing its academic and career opportunities.
The session helped students understand why the GATE exam is important for their future. They learned that GATE can help them continue higher studies, get jobs in PSUs, and work in research organizations. The talk motivated students to start preparing in a proper and focused way. Overall, the event gave students awareness and confidence to see GATE as a good opportunity for their career growth.
SAVE A LIFE BE A HERO
The Rotaract Club of CMRIT organised an online workshop titled “Save a Life, Be a Hero Saviours in Someone’s Critical Hour” on 16th October 2025 via Google Meet from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The session was conducted by Ms Tara Ann, a third-year MBBS student at Government Medical College, Calicut, and an exceptional academic achiever with NEET 2022 AIR 1495. She shared valuable insights on CPR, first aid, seizure management, and emergency response techniques. A total of 26 participants attended the session, which proved to be highly informative, interactive, and impactful in spreading essential life-saving awareness
The session proved to be highly informative and effective in spreading essential awareness on life-saving practices. It equipped students with the knowledge to respond efficiently during emergencies until professional help arrives.
The event also reflected the Rotaract Club of CMRIT’s commitment to community service and social responsibility, demonstrating adaptability and determination to carry forward the initiative despite unforeseen challenges. A follow-up offline practical workshop is planned in collaboration with medical professionals to provide participants with hands-on experience.
BOOKS BEYOND BOUNDARIES
The Rotaract Club of CMR Institute of Technology organized a Books Beyond Boundaries outreach initiative at Government Polytechnic College, Channasandra, to promote knowledge sharing and academic enrichment. The team, led by Club President Rtr. Yashica and Faculty Coordinator Prof. Madhu G. C., along with 10 Rotaract volunteers, donated 150 engineering textbooks covering multiple branches to the college library. The event was hosted by Principal Smt. Jayashree T. K, who introduced the senior faculty members and shared insights about the institution. The CMRIT team interacted with diploma students, emphasizing the importance of standard textbooks, conceptual learning, and the value of Rotaract’s community service model. The principal appreciated the initiative and requested additional compiled journal papers for the library. The event successfully fostered collaboration between both institutions, inspired students to consider forming a Rotaract Club on their campus, and laid the groundwork for future educational and social impact programs.
ENCODIFY
The Rotaract Club of CMRIT organized an engaging session titled "Encodify" on October 23, 2025, at 2:15 PM in LH305. The event was conducted by Prof. Madhu G. C. from the Department of ECE, focusing on the fascinating world of encryption and coding. The session aimed to help students understand the art of securing data and the underlying concepts of coding and cryptography. Prof. Madhu shared valuable insights into how encryption plays a vital role in modern technology and data security. Around 25 participants attended the session, actively engaging in discussions and demonstrations that connected theory with practical understanding. The event successfully achieved its goal of empowering young minds to think innovatively about digital security and coding techniques.
PURPLE DAY: POLIO AWARENESS
The Rotaract Club of CMR Institute of Technology observed “Wear Purple Day” on October 24, 2025, in recognition of World Polio Day. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the global fight to eradicate polio and to show solidarity with the “End Polio Now” campaign. Members and students participated by wearing purple, a color symbolizing the commitment to a polio-free world. The event encouraged everyone to unite in support of global health and vaccination initiatives, spreading the message of hope and action towards ending polio once and for all.
