About CMRIT IP CELL
The CMR Institute of Technology Intellectual Property (IP) Cell was established in the year 2019 with a clear and ambitious aim to promote innovation, protect intellectual property rights, and foster a culture of entrepreneurship within the academic community of CMRIT.
Objectives of CMRIT IP Cell
Promoting Innovation: Create intellectual environment among the staff, students, and researchers of the institution and promote the culture of creating new inventions and protecting them in the form of Intellectual property.
Intellectual Property Awareness: To encourage the CMRIT community about the importance of intellectual property rights and their role in protecting innovations through seminars, webinars, and awareness campaigns.
Facilitating Patent Filings: To protect innovative ideas and inventions through the patent filing process.
Creating a Knowledge Hub: Facilitate development of educational schemes, models and methodologies to improve the teaching learning process and groom quality engineering graduates to meet the technical manpower requirements of the country
The Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST ) was established in 1975 and is responsible for the development of the quality of life of the people of the state, especially in rural areas. It is one of the first State Science & Technology Councils set up in the country. KSCST is an autonomous S&T organization under Department of Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka.
KSCST provides support to the Central and State Governments, in formulation of S&T based policies, scientific surveys, project implementation, evaluation, co-ordination & monitoring, organization of scientific meets and awareness campaigns. The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India advocated KSCST as a model to all the states.
