A Two day Hands on Workshop on Training on Image Processing Algorithms for Project Implementation – MATLAB Open Source Perspective was conducted by the IEEE student branch, CMRIT in collaboration with the department of ECE on the 20th and 21st of September 2019, It was a completely a hands on workshop with keynote speakers from IEEE.

Agenda

The Objectives of conducting such a hands on workshop is to :

• Provide a brief introduction on MATLAB and open source software which are key in

image processing

• Provide hands-on training on image enhancement, feature extraction, image

transforms, image denoising and classification techniques.

• Introduce Concepts of various machine learning and deep learning algorithms used

for image processing applications.

• To provide hands on training using medical and satellite images.

• To build fundamental concepts to enhance knowledge and confidence on topics like

image processing data handling, project implementation with the help

of MATLAB and open source software.
