The CMR Institute of Technology is a premier engineering college known for its academic excellence across the state. It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Established in the year 2000 by the CMR Jnanadhara Trust, the institute was founded with a vision to become a nationally acclaimed and globally recognized center of excellence in engineering, technology, and management, producing competent professionals with the right attributes to serve the nation and society at large.

CMRIT has made remarkable progress in both academic and non-academic domains. It offers seven undergraduate programs in engineering, along with MBA, MCA, and Ph.D. programs in ten disciplines, nurturing the aspirations of students and empowering them to realize their potential.
