TITLE OF THE COURSE: APPLICATION OF UV-VIS SPECTROPHOTOMETER AND FLUOROMETER FOR SENSING STUDIES
This course is designed to provide students with the overview of basic concepts and instrumentation in ultraviolet (UV)-Visible spectroscopy and fluorometry, commonly used in quantitative and qualitative analysis in various fields, including environmental, food, pharmaceuticals, and materials. It will cover basic theory and principle of operation of UV-Vis spectrometer, recording spectrum of solution and powder samples, analysis of spectrum & calculation of optical band gap. Theory and principle of operation of fluorometer, recording and analysis of fluorescence spectra. Plotting of spectral data using origin software and report writing.
