Tutoring Services

CMI Academic Support Program (ASP)

Mission

Our mission is to help and encourage students to achieve maximum academic success by guiding them to be proficient in their works while promoting independent learning. We also help students overcome any sorts of struggle they are facing in regards to their subjects such as English, Math, Information Computer Systems (ICS), and Major-focused courses such as Business, Education, and Nursing.

Tutoring provides an opportunity for students to engage in learning conversations that will clarify and increase comprehension of course material, develop test-taking and time management strategies, and improve study habits. ASP Tutoring is a welcoming, inclusive space for students to connect, ask questions, prepare for exams, and have support on assignments or homework.

Our tutoring services are free to CMI students. We offer individual and/or group tutoring. Continue reading and exploring our pages for more information.

What can you expect?

Online Tutoring

Free online tutoring via Zoom (Meeting code: 53342) is available by appointment. This requires planning ahead of time and preparing for your session by having all your materials ready such as your textbook, assignment, assignment sheet, study guide, questions, etc.

Students from our CMI centers are welcome to utilize our online tutoring services.

What students need to know:

Tutoring works when you've already attempted the assignment or homework on your own! Otherwise, your tutor won't know how to help you.

Bring your textbook, assignments and/or assignment sheets, study guides, past homework, etc., with you to tutoring. Come prepared with questions. The more context your tutor has, the more effective the process will be.

Don't bring a take-home exam! Tutors may not assist you with in-progress exams or quizzes. They can, however, help you understand academic dishonesty or what was wrong on graded tests or homework/assignment.
