Full-time enrollment: Minimum of 12 credits (6 credits during Summer).
Semester completion: Must have successfully completed at least one academic year (two semesters) at CMI.
Active enrollment: Must be officially enrolled and maintain continuous enrollment at CMI.
Academic standing: Good academic and conduct record with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Course performance: Must have earned a grade of B or better in the course(s) they wish to tutor.
Commitment to tutoring: Ability to commit to scheduled tutoring hours and maintain accurate timesheets.
Prior experience as a tutor, mentor, or teaching assistant (formal or informal)
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
Reliability and professionalism in academic or work settings
Familiarity with learning strategies and study skills to support diverse learners
Willingness to collaborate with faculty, staff, and peers
Cultural sensitivity and basic technical skills (e.g., online platforms, scheduling tools, timeclock systems)
