I come to this position with a deep passion for the sport of wrestling and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment. My coaching philosophy revolves around not just developing skilled athletes, but also instilling values such as discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship. I believe that the lessons learned on the wrestling mat extend far beyond the mat and contribute to the overall growth and character of our student-athletes.

NEHS Wrestling Team Wins!
On Thursday night Nov 20th the Northeast Eagles wrestling team traveled to James Lawson HS in Nashville for a tri-dual meet, where the event opened up with a powerful performance of the National Anthem by our very own Winter Wells. From that moment on, the Eagles absolutely took flight!
Team captain Zachariah Owens set the tone early , showing pure aggression and dominating his opponent with a strong pinfall victory. Logan “Mr. Perfect” Woodard continued his undefeated run, earning two remarkable wins. Riley “The Man” McMahon, Angel Velez-Almodovar, and -making his debut – Ryan Welch all delivered impressive victories of their own.
And closing out the night, the Beast from Northeast, N. Clark, sealed the final win and brought the dub back home to the Eagles Nest. Congratulations to all our wrestlers and the coaches Haywood, Wells, Sha and Eubanks! Way to represent Northeast with pride and carry your torch!
Attention NEHS guys and girls interested in wrestling, there is a parent/student interest meeting at 6pm on Friday, October 10 in the Aux Gym.
