Classwork: Assignments are designed with time needed to complete in mind. Unless otherwise explained by the teacher, classwork is due on the day that it is assigned.
Homework: Homework is assigned on Monday and due on Friday. Homework accounts for 10% of your students' grades in PowerSchool.
Absent Work: When students are absent, their work will be placed in the designated pocket - While You Were Out - with their name written on it. Students are responsible for checking to see what they missed and will have until the following day to complete this work and turn it in. Exceptions will be made for extended absences. For example, if a student misses 3 consecutive days, they will have 3 days to complete makeup work.
Missing // Late Work: Students are encouraged to check PowerSchool regularly to ensure that they do not have any missing work (notated by an orange dot). I have an "Extra Copies" bin located in my room with extra copies of assignments completed at school, as well as homework worksheets. If your student is missing an assignment, they may go to the bin and retrieve the assignment needed. There is a limited amount of extra copies and they are on a first come, first serve basis. Once they are out, more will not be printed. Students will lose 10% of the assignment grade for each day it is late. Each Friday, the missing grade will become a zero (zeros will not be changed in the gradebook).
