PDP stands for Professional Development Points.
The state of Tennessee requires educators to earn PDPs for licensure advancement or renewal.
To earn PDPs for professional learning completed within the district, educators must submit learning activities through TNCompass. Professional learning activities should be submitted separately with a PLAN transcript or certificate attached as evidence.
Visit the Tennessee Department of Education FAQ page for details about licensure requirements, approvable learning activities, and details about how to request your PDPs. Please note, required trainings such as Annual Employee Training and Suicide Prevention do not count toward PDPs. Click here for a list of additional courses that are not approvable for PDPs.
Visit this page for a guide on uploading your PDPs.
If you have additional questions, please reach out to tina.smith@cmcss.net.
