Happy New Year and welcome back!
We hope you had a lovely break and are feeling refreshed and ready for Term 3. We are looking forward to another exciting term of learning. Here’s a quick guide to everything you need to know for the weeks ahead:
👩🏫 Student Teacher Update
At the start of this term, we’d like to introduce our new student teacher, Miss Parmenter, who will be joining us in class for Term 3. They are very much looking forward to working with the children and becoming part of our classroom team.
Our previous student teacher, Mrs Webber, has moved to another placement for this term and will be returning to us in Term 4, so we’re excited to welcome them back later in the year.
✍️ Homework
Homework is a great way to help your child practise and build on what they’ve been learning in class. Please support them in completing and returning it on time – it really helps to boost confidence and understanding.
📖 Reading – Let’s Work Together!
Reading is the foundation of all learning, and it makes a huge difference when we work together. Please try to read with your child every day and ensure their reading book and record come back to school each day. Every little bit of reading counts!
🏠 Supporting Learning at Home
A few quiet minutes each day for reading or homework really does go a long way. Setting aside just 10–15 minutes makes a big difference to your child’s progress and helps build great learning habits.
➕ DoodleMaths
If your child uses DoodleMaths, try to make it part of your daily routine. Just 5 minutes a day helps to keep their skills sharp! If you have any issues logging in, please let us know so we can help.
✏️ Our Curriculum
You can find all the key details about your child’s learning this term on our class webpage. If you have any questions or would like to chat, please catch us at the end of the day or book a time through the school office – we’re always happy to help.
We’re really looking forward to a fun and successful Term 3, and we truly appreciate your continued support. Together, we can make this a fantastic start to the year for your child! 🌟
Kind regards,
Mrs Muckley & Miss Parmenter
