Lending Library

We strongly encourage regular reading.  Reading during Early Year's supports cognitive development, early language skills and increases vocabulary.

A Take-Home Max Monkey

Max Monkey is a physical connection between the playgroup and home.  We use Max for families to share experiences together and to promote the sharing of information through pictures and text.

Tapestry

Tapestry enables parents/ carers to participate by giving them regular access to photographs, videos and notes about their children.

We would really encourage parents/carers to use Tapestry to let us know what your child's interests are currently at home, we use this information to form future learning experiences at playgroup.

Outdoor Equipments

A selection of outdoor toys  available for children to play with at the garden includes balls, hula hoops, scooters, balancing bikes, mud kitchen, trampoline, Little Tikes Cozy cars, climbing frames, foam blocks, chalks and painting with water, etc.

Garden

Outdoor play can promote all areas of development within the EYFS as well as Physical development.  We encourage outdoor play everyday.  For example, mud kitchen to promote role-play, mathematics and social play.  Painting with water, for fine motor skills and muscle development needed for early mark making and holding pen. 

Role-play Area

Role-play areas provides children the space to begin freely practising their communication and language skills within their own comfort zone.  When children play together, they can share their words and phrases alongside combining their imaginations.

Music Shelves

Nature children to express themselves through dance, song and movements with musical instruments. 

Small World Play Area

We have train track, doll house, police station, hospital, farm set, car garage, castle and knights, fire station and  people figures.  The resources allows children to express their knowledge of the world around them in a creative and develop their imagination.

Mud Kitchen

Inspire children to let their imaginations flourish.  Children can develop their gross motor skills through large mixing movements and picking nature materials on the ground i.e. fallen leaves, twigs, stones, fallen apples or flowers.

Balance Trail

Promote children co-ordination, balance and strength
