Thank you for sharing with California teachers

You submitted a proposal, now what? Carolyn will be contacting you this month (for workshops) or early January (interest sessions) about your proposal. If you have any question contact her at program@clta.net

If you have a Mac, please bring a dongle so you can plug in to an HDMI connection.

Below is information on how to register once you have been confirmed as a presenter. Please read it carefully!

Registration

To register use the link below.  You will need your session number when your register.  Your session number is a letter and a number, e.g., Q01, Your session number will be provided by the program chair.

CLTA gives the presenters of a three-hour workshop a $100.00 honorarium, as well as one free registration without meals.  All pre-conference workshops take place on Thursday & Friday before the conference begins on Saturday, March 8th.  For presenters of interest sessions, CLTA offers one free registration without meals. Co-presenters do not receive a free registration.

The conference schedule will be entirely online using the online program tool SCHED. A helpful tutorial for presenters can be found HERE.

In late February or early March you will receive an email with instructions for logging into the SCHED conference site and you will be able to manage your workshop or session - including adding any resources.  You will be able to add a link to digital resources or upload documents.

It is recommended when you get the email invitation that you set up your profile, including a profile picture.

I have a co-presenter.  Do they need to register for the conference?

Yes.  Co-presenters need to register.  Lead presenters receive a free Sat/Sun registration.  Co-presenters do not receive a free registration.

Can I give my free registration to my co-presenter?

Yes. Only one free registration per session is allowed. If you are presenting two or more sessions, you can have your co-presenter(s) register as a Lead presenter with the number of the second session.

Do my co-presenter & I need to be members of CLTA?

If you live or work in California, we suggest that you be CLTA members. Non-members pay an additional $60 for registration and each workshop they might want to attend.

When will I know what day/time I present?

The program chair will contact you in December or January about the day/time assignments. They will be in SCHED. Be sure to check and re-check because it may change.

When will I be able to access my session in SCHED.

When the online program goes live in SCHED (approx. 2 weeks before the conference), you will receive an email invitation to join the conference.  Once you join you will be able to add materials and edit your profile.  We recommend you also set a profile picture as well so that you are easily recognizable. Access Presenter Tools for help with SCHED.

I am a presenter/co-presenter from out of state. Do I need to become a member of CLTA?

No. Presenters from out of state do not need to become a CLTA member. However, we hope that you are also supporting your own state organization.

I would like to sign-up for a workshop. As a presenter from out of state, do I have to the pay non-member price for the workshop?

No. Presenters from out of state are treated as members and are hopefully supporting their own state WL organization.
