Reading

At Center Line Public Schools, we use the workshop model to teach reading. All elementary classrooms and grade levels will use the MAISA units designed by Oakland Schools. We also work with leveled readers to support each child at their reading level. Students also practice their fluency through the use of poetry.

Attached are some enrichment activities for literacy. I also attached a link for poetry that can be used for our classroom poetry journals.

Students also each have a Raz-Kids account with a unique password so they can read books at their assigned level.
