My name is Shanna Tovar and this is my 23nd year of full-time teaching, but I've been in the Education field for about 26 years. I've had the privilege to teach in different cities near here and on top of that, I've spent 4 years as a Vice Principal in a local charter school.  I have 2 credentials: a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and an Administrative Services Credential.  Fun fact about me is that I've taught "almost" all the elementary grades, Kindergarten through 6th grade (with the exception of 2nd grade) and I've held classes at K-8 schools as well.  This is my 3rd year teaching at Boris Elementary.  =)

My husband is also an educator.  He teaches Science courses for Clovis Unified and Fresno State, and he was also a Vice Principal/GIS.  We have 4 children (2 girls and 2 boys), all of which were Boris Chargers!  My youngest is still attending Boris and is in 6th grade this year. =)  We also are big animal lovers; we have 2 Golden Retrievers, 2 cats, and one adopted neighborhood cat.
