This class focuses on literary analysis, vocabulary development, and critical thinking skills, and it continues the development of composition and literary skills through the study of contemporary fiction, American literature, and informational texts.

Please note that this website is for basic reference and information purposes. Once we start the school year, students will be using Google Classroom to access assignments, resources, calendars, and other important information for English class, so it will be very important to join the correct section of Google Classroom. New Google Classroom codes for the school year will be shared in class during the second week of school.
Students: please get in the habit of checking your CUSD student email and Google Classroom at least once every day.
Staying current with assignments and class information is going to be a big key for success this year! It is also a great skill to develop for your future studies and work life beyond high school.
