WHAT IS AVID?
AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. AVID is a college readiness program that provides students with the skills necessary to seek admission to a four-year college or university. Students take the AVID elective throughout middle school and high school to learn new strategies and systems for academic success. If you want to go to college, are a hard worker, have good attendance, and are motivated to improve, AVID may be able to help you reach your goals! AVID students become part of the AVID family where they feel connected and supported!
