FFA is an intra-curricular student organization for students enrolled in an Agriculture Education course. Membership dues are $20 for the entire year. Most FFA activities occur after school depending on student interest. Clover Middle FFA provides opportunities for students to register for projects, attend clinics and camps specific to their interests, and prepare for competitions with other schools across the county, state, and nation!
The Basics:
6th, 7th, and 8th grade students can register for Clover Middle FFA.
Whole group meetings will meet AT Clover Middle on average once a month immediately after school until 4:30pm. Parents should plan to promptly pickup from the front of the building (car rider line).
Google calendar link available for up-to-date activities. Weekly emails will communicate upcoming events and meeting specifics. (Calendar link above on the blue tab).
Student interests will determine student participation beyond our monthly chapter meetings.
If your child decides to compete, specific practices will be determined to prepare the team. Some teams will have the opportunity to compete in various Career Development Events and Contests. Those teams will meet more often during specific months so that they can practice and prepare!
For example:
January: "Team" practices begin
March: Tool ID and Dairy Judging competition
March: Hippology and Horse Judging
March: Clover Middle’s Novice Pig Show (Pig Team)
April: State Dairy Judging Competition @ the spring dairy show
April: York County Swine Show
May: Wildlife Team (WHEP)
Students do NOT have to compete. Opportunities will also be provided for exploring agriculture and extending learning beyond the classroom.
Membership dues ARE required to participate in after school activites/events. FFA Membership dues are $20 and should be sent to K. Robinson. Checks should be made payable to Clover Middle FFA. Robinson will register students online.
