4-H members gain insight into opportunities within the York County 4-H organization. Competition TEAMS typically meet as needed to prepare for upcoming contests. Students do NOT have to currently be in an Agriculture class to register. Registration and fees must be completed ONLINE. Fees are specific to 4H and collected online.

When registering online:
#1 = Don't stress. All registration information can be updated and corrected as needed.
When registering online, project information is not set in stone! Check out the York Extension Website BEFORE you begin registration and select one or two projects that you are interested in. Add those to your profile when registering.
Adding these projects (or clubs) to your 4H profile (registration) does not automatically sign you up or register you directly for those specific projects/clubs.
Don't expect to be automatically connected to projects or other clubs. Registering will ensure that you are connected to regular 4H newsletters. PARENTS are expected to preview information and expectations for the most up to date information regarding upcoming events, projects, registrations, and deadlines!
Remember, PROJECTS for 4H are NOT the same as Clover Middle TEAMS.
Robinson will highlight popular projects and upcoming 4H events via group emails, classroom calendars, team meetings, and social media. However, 4H offers thousands of opportunities for your children. Parents must be proactive in this endeavor.
After school:
At dismissal, students will wait in their 7th period class until an announcement is made to dismiss 4H/FFA students to the agriculture classroom and/or PE hallway.
Students should NOT wait in the agriculture classroom unsupervised.
Typical meeting = after school until 4:30pm.
Parents pick up at the front of the school (car rider line)!
If your child needs to leave early, that is completely fine. However, students should be prepared to keep an eye on the time. They should also let Robinson know when they leave. NO student should leave a meeting or after school activity without confirming with the supervising adult at the time of their exit.
The Basics:
Whole group meetings will occur AT Clover Middle on average once a month.
Students are also able to register for PROJECTS. Each project has certain specifics that can be found on the York extension website included on our website link above. Students are typically expected to purchase an animal to use for PROJECTS. Project animals kept at Clover Middle include 10 pigs, up to 5 goats (June - September), and a dozen 4H chickens (spring - November).
4H registration must be completed online (button link above). Registration for the new year does NOT begin until September.
IF you do decide to register for 4H, please let Mrs. Robinson know, so that you can be added to the email list.
Robinson does NOT automatically get a notification for 4H memberships. 4H memberships are handled directly by the York County Extension Agents.
6th, 7th, and 8th graders can register for 4H.
