CloudEDUProDevel - Google Kickstart

The popular Kickstart workshop is for schools that don’t have time to train staff who are brand new to Google’s tools. This online workshop is designed for educators and office staff who are new to Google Workspace or need to up-skill for their school.

Each workshop runs over two, 2.5-hour sessions on weekday afternoons (TBD) or a Saturday in early January/February (TBD). Please complete the Form below so we can schedule this to meet the needs of the majority of schools.

COST: R500exVAT per person, or R2000ex VAT for a group of five staff from the same organisation.

Beginner Track

This session is designed for educators and office staff who are brand new to Google Workspace. Apps covered will be Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Forms. Participants learn:

Essential Gmail settings
Organising Email with labels
Collaboration in Docs
Using Building Blocks
Suggested edits & comments for learner feedback
Creating Forms

Throughout, participants will use Google Classroom as students and become familiar with its basic functionality.

EducatorPlus Track

This session is for educators who have previously used Google Workspace apps, but who need a refresher or wish to expand their skill set. Topics covered include:

Advanced tools in Docs (e.g. manipulating images, adding fonts, using text styles, and more!)
Advanced sharing settings in Drive and Docs
Setting up Forms for self-marking quizzes
What’s new in Classroom and prepping for the new school year
Intro to Google Vids
