TIPS AND TRICKS

  1. Arrival + Dismissal: Parents - We understand that our lines have been very long for arrival and dismissal. However, we really need you to try to be here for arrival by 7:20 at the latest. Dismissal starts at 3, please try to be here as soon as possible to pick up your student (if your child is a car rider.)

  2. Dress Code: Please see our list below of the "rules" broken the most this week for dress code -

    1. Ripped/Distressed pants - Please understand students CANNOT wear ripped or distressed pants/jeans. This is a dress code infraction and will result with a phone call to you to either come and get your child or to bring them other clothes to wear.

    2. Open Toed Shoes/Sandals - These are NOT allowed. We much prefer tennis shoes of some kind for our studetns anyways because of the amount of movement we do and we do have mulch on our playgrounds so the closed tennis shoes help with keeping it out of their shoes and socks.

    3. Shorter shirts (crop top length) and short shorts - Please make sure that when your child raises their arms, that their shirts cover their middrift. With the shorts, please make sure they are fingertip length on their thighs.

    4. Ill Fitting clothing- We are seeing more and more clothes and shoes (throughout the school) that are either WAY too big or WAY too tight. Please make sure your child's clothes fit properly.

  3. Potty Training: We have some friends that are showing signs of being ready to be potty trained HOWEVER we need you to understand that we cannot do this alone. It has to be consistent across the board from school to home and back again. We HAVE to start giving our students more independence and this starts with you helping them learn how to pull down and up their own pants/underwear+pull ups. If you need some ideas for how to do this at home, please contact us so we can help.

  4. Meals: Please be aware that there is no longer school wide free breakfast/lunch. If you DO NOT want your child eating from the cafeteria, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us know. I know a lot of our friends are bringing lunches and that is GREAT. But we need to also know if you do or do not want them to get lunches/breakfasts from the cafeteria.
