Meet the Teacher

Hi! My name is Mrs. Susan Young. I am a proud graduate of The Ohio State University. Through the years, I have continued to take classes, and now I have my Master’s Degree plus 40 extra hours. I also have a Reading Endorsement. During the past few years, I have attended classes and workshops about teaching the talented and gifted students. I have been teaching third grade at Lexington since 2001. I am super excited to begin this unique school year.

Also, here is a letter from the principal.

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!!!

Hello families and friends of Central Elementary. My name is Scott Curtis and I am thrilled to be starting my second year as your principal here at Central Elementary. It is my hope that you have enjoyed a long summer break with those that you love the most. This summer has been an exciting and a historical summer for our students, staff and the Lexington community. The addition of the new 7-12 building has made for an exciting time in our community and further adding to the rich tradition here in Lexington. At the start of each year, I always find an overwhelming sense of hope, optimism at the possibilities about what a new school year will bring.

Central is a special place for students and staff. At Central, we believe in each and every person that walks through our doors. We will work each day to help your child maximize their potential. The staff has been planning and preparing for what I believe could be our best school year yet!

Please be sure to reach out to your child’s teacher or the main office should you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you!
