Finding Meaning: Searching the Ultimate questions
This unit of work concerns the search for value and meaning in our lives: Our ability to ask the "big questions" and to look for some answers which might give us direction and hope.
The standard for this unit asks students to contrast a religious view with a secular world view. The assessment asks students to contrast a religious view of creation with a secular view, namely the scientific theories of how the universe came to be, to see if the two view are contradictory, and examine if a person of religious faith can reconcile their own beliefs with more recent scientific theory
