Participants in the drama festival will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of theatre specialists. Each group can request up to two in-class visits, either with two different artists or two visits from the same artist. The fees for these artists are fully covered by the festival, ensuring that all participants can benefit from professional guidance and insight without additional costs.

Les participants au festival auront l'occasion de travailler avec un ensemble diversifié de spécialistes du théâtre. Chaque group inscrit peut demander jusqu'à deux visites en classe, soit avec deux artistes différents, ou deux visites d'un même artiste. Albert Arsenault, known for his talents on the fiddle, percussion, bass, vocals, and dance, founded Acadian band Barachois along with his sister Hélène Bergeron, their cousin Louise Arsenault and Chuck Arsenault. He began playing the fiddle at 12 and took up the drums at 14. His performance career has taken him across Canada as a children's entertainer, a member of various bands and musical groups, a comedian in national theater productions, and even in TV commercials.
Movement and Dance

Julia Sauve, MA has her Master’s Degree in Movement Education and has been performing, teaching, and choreographing dance on PEI and in the US for over 40 years. She co-founded Montage Dance Theatre and dance umbrella, has performed with The Charlottetown Festival, choreographed for numerous community, school, and theatre organizations, and most recently taught within the Holland College School of Performing Arts.
Singing and Song Writing

Josée Boudreau is a talented Acadian actor and singer from Prince Edward Island, celebrated for her dynamic performances in musical theatre and her contributions to the Acadian cultural scene. She has portrayed iconic roles such as Maria in The Sound of Music and the title role in Évangéline at the Charlottetown Festival. In 2022, she debuted her solo concert, In Million Dreams (Dans un million de rêves), at Moncton's Théâtre Capitol, showcasing her versatility and passion for music. Beyond the stage, Boudreau is deeply involved in preserving Acadian heritage, collaborating with her father on projects that celebrate and promote Acadian culture through music and storytelling.

Wanda Naylor has trained in a variety of dance genres such as tap, jazz, ballet, social dance, and creative movement at York University, Humber College, and private studios in Ontario. She has earned degrees in Fine Arts and Primary/Junior Education from York University. Wanda has performed with Merrytime Clown and Puppet Theatre in Ontario and PEI, including The Charlottetown Festival. She has created choreography, costumes, and scenery for the Beaconsfield Children’s Festival.
Acting

This year Glenda will be celebrating 55 years as a working actor. She is pleased to say 50 of those years were on the Main Stage at the Charlottetown Festival. She has played a giggly girl, a nun, a war bride, a fairy, a Queen and a witch….THREE TIMES ! Glenda studied Musical Theatre at Sheridan College, Oakville, dance at The Hoofers Club, Toronto and voice at the Maritime Conservatory in Halifax. When she is not on the stage, Glenda mentors young actors, adjudicates, teaches Master Class and cooks professionally since becoming a Professional Chef more than two decades ago. Glenda is married, has three children and seven grandchildren.

Monique Lafontaine has a college degree in music and theatre and a BA in translation. She has been involved in community theatre in Montreal and on PEI. For ACT, she has worked as actress, stage director (awarded best director at the PEI Drama Festival) and as artistic director. She recently retired from the Confederation Center of the Arts where, amongst other duties, she taught theatre workshops. She has directed two Christmas productions for the Center and has co-written two shows for the Young Company. She has also sat on the national board of ArtsSmarts. She is delighted to once again be working with students and to see their eyes shine as they get ready to go on stage.
Acting

With a background in Fine Arts and Stagehand work, Bridget has an eye & appreciation for the details. That's the beauty in theater! Having worked 7 years in the craft, names she has had the privilege to work for include Prince, Madonna, Jay Z and Lady Gaga. Bridget has been exposed to all levels of talent! Her theater career has had her travel from Montreal, BC to Prince Edward Island. Most recent accomplishments include completing Confederation Centre of the Arts Backstage Program. There she acquired knowledge in Stage Management, Lighting and Software such as QLab5. This course then allowed her to work for Anne & Gilbert in projection and lighting. The world is a stage and her passion is to show others the beauty of that !
