OUTDOOR LEARNING
Getting outdoors for at least 30 minutes each day has so many benefits for our mind and our bodies. Choose one and notice how much better you feel.
o Go for walk together. What do you see? Smell? Hear? Feel? Bonus: draw a picture about your walk when you get back!
o Collect some outdoor materials (rocks, sticks, etc.) and make a pattern.
o Go out in the snow. Is it sticky enough to make a snowball or a snowman? Or maybe it’s good snow for making snow angels? Can you see big snowflakes or small snowflakes? Talk about the snow, play in the snow and HAVE FUN!
o Sit somewhere quiet. Close your eyes. Take three big, slow breaths. Then be still. Keep those eyes closed! What do you notice?
