Kindergarten

November 2023

We will start this month learning a school wide song called Nothing More by the Alternate Routes to sing at our Remembrance Day assembly. We will also be working hard at learning lyrics, a dance and a poem that will be performed on Tuesday, December 5th in our first Winter Concert together at GSP!!!

October 2023

October is one of our favorite months in the music room! We start the month singing songs about turkeys and gratitude and then transition into songs about our fall leaves to help teach us about high and low sounds. We then spend the second half of our month doing fun songs that are connected to Halloween! 

September 2023

We are so excited to meet so many new faces at Glen Stewart :) We have already jumped into playing new instruments and singing and dancing with our new Kindergarten students. For the month of September we have been meeting a new farm animal that helps us meet a new music instrument (egg shakers, maracas, hand drums, cow bell, rhythm sticks) and of course lots of fun songs that match each animal (We're sure many of you have been hearing the duck song at home!!!). We are excited for a great year ahead!!!
