Mrs. Callaghan

My name is Carla Callaghan and I'm thrilled to be teaching second grade again this year.  Throughout my 29 year career, I've taught many different grade levels but Grade 2 is my favorite.  This is my 19th year working at West Royalty Elementary.

Some information about me:

• My education includes a B.A. (English), B.Ed ( K-12) and a M.Ed (Literacy)

• My husband, Doug, and I live on a horse farm in New Haven, PEI.  We don't have any children. 

• My legal last name is MacPhee but I use my maiden name at work. 

• I love to travel especially to Mexico and other warm destinations.

• Reading, gardening, cooking, and taking walks are important pastimes.

• I enjoy watching home design shows.  If it's on HGTV, then I've seen it!

• Tulips are my favorite flowers.

• I value kindness.  The most important expectation within our classroom is that everyone respectfully tries their best.
