Orientation went great this past week! Our class, 7G, is truly sensational! A package of forms was sent home on the first day with all students. There are six forms. Five of these forms need to be signed, updated if necessary, and returned to me as soon as possible. Parents and/or guardians (and students) are asked to complete, update, and send these forms back with your child. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year with 7G!
Picture Day will be on Tuesday, September 16th. The school photographer will be set up in our cafeteria to take photos on that day. If your child is absent on this day, they should be able to get their photo taken on Wednesday, September 17th.

I hope everyone is enjoying a nice weekend! We have four days of school this week. The days this week on your class schedule are M1, T1, W1, and Th1. Parent/Guardian Teacher Interviews will take place on Thursday evening from 5 to 8 and on Friday morning from 8:30 to 11:30. I look forward to meeting with all parents and guardians who can make it to these interviews.
7G English Language Arts
Students will begin almost every class by reading their novel. Active listening continues to be emphasized along with speaking, reading, and writing. Book talks will continue this week. One last edit will be made to our persuasive writing pieces. Students will also complete a a slideshow and writing assignment on Black History Month. The due date will be next week before March Break. All students are encouraged to read for a minimum of ten minutes at home every night. Consider it homework!
7F, 7G, 7H, 7K, and 7L French
All classes will continue with our course module "On est on forme." For the next four months, our focus will continue to be on oral communication that emphasizes a healthy lifestyle and wellness. This week, students will begin and complete their second poster. Marks for these posters will be posted later in March.
7H Skills Development
Our topics for this course include but are not limited to typing, personal development, culture, heritage, sign language, Google Sites, and active citizenship. This week, students will practice typing and begin a Heritage Fair Project. I will introduce this assignment to students on Wednesday and update next week's blog with more information regarding this exciting project! The personal reflection assignment will be due on Wednesday.
Have a great week, Tigers, and stay safe! See you tomorrow!
