My Teaching Experience...

I have been teaching at Central Queens Elementary School for 25 years. When I first started teaching at the school, I was the school's Teacher Librarian. The following year I started my training as a Reading Recovery Teacher and taught in the library also. I spent 5 years teaching Reading Recovery and 10 years as the School Librarian. I eventually become a full time classroom teacher, teaching grade 3 and grade 4. Grade 3 is my favourite grade to teach! I love the excitement for learning the students have at this level and joy on their faces when they have "figured out" something.
