Hi Families,
I hope you all had a great weekend.
The grade 2 team will be going to see Charlottetown Rural perform the Wizard of Oz at the Confederation Center of the Arts this Friday! We are so looking forward to this play. We have been reading different versions of the book and will compare the books with the play. This is such a great opportunity for the kiddos!
Our end of year field trip to Shining Waters is fast approaching (June 19th). We are looking for volunteers to help supervise groups of students. If you would like to volunteer please reach out to me and I will let you know the next steps. We always appreciate having volunteers as it helps things run much smoother. Thank you for your support in this!

Hi Families,
I hope you all had a great weekend.
Last week 2E had fun learning about the importance of Earth Day and talking about things we can do to help Mother Earth. We also really enjoyed our visit from Lisa Carmody who read us her new book Miss Molly Molloy. The audience was so engaged and got to see the books illustrator create the character after the read aloud. Some students recreated his drawing and did a fantastic job!
This week we are looking forward to our visit from Easter Seals Ambassador Rowan Macdonald.

Hi Families,
I hope you all had a great weekend. This week we will be having French week at Glen Stewart. The students will be listening to a French song each day and learning some French words. On Wednesday, the home and school will be providing croissants for the students. We are looking forward to this tasty treat.
The “Cool Kids Care Club” are back at it fundraising again! This month we are collecting money for this year’s PEI Easter Seals Ambassador, Rowan MacDonald from Colonel Grey High School. All our Island schools raise money yearly for Easter Seals; a program committed to fully enhancing the quality of life, self-esteem and self-determination of Islanders living with disabilities. It responds to the needs and aspirations of children, youth, and adults with disabilities by providing financial support to programs and services that enable access, inclusion and opportunity to promote increased activity and involvement. On Friday April 17th Students can wear their favorite/crazy hat OR a crazy hairdo and bring a donation of $2 to their teachers. Our Cool Kids will come around and collect all donations in the afternoon.
Once again thank you for your help,
Mrs. Robyn, Ms. Erin & the Gr. 2 Cool Kids

Hi Families,
I hope you all had a great Easter weekend. I heard lots of fun stories from the kiddos. Spring is in the air (or not!) and the messy playground is upon us! Rubber boots (or winter boots) are great for this time of the year as the kids love playing in the mud outside. Extra socks and clothing are good to have as a backup inside backpacks. Thank you for your support in this messy month!

Hi Families,
I hope you all had a great weekend. It is hard to believe we are into the last week of February! The children had fun exchanging their Valentine's. Thank you all for contributing in our celebration. Winter Wellness Day was a huge hit! The weather was perfect and the children had a blast sledding and playing outside in the afternoon. The stations were a lot of fun too! I think bobsledding was a favorite. It was a great way to wrap up the 2026 Olympics.
Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up next week and I look forward to meeting with you all to discuss your child's progress. See email from Mrs. Dunn for the link to sign up.
