Hello and Welcome to 2D!
My name is Shauna Bradley. This will be my seventeenth-year teaching at Glen Stewart, and I am very excited to be back in grade two. Our classroom EA is the wonderful Ms. Mackenzie. We look forward to getting to know all our students in 2D!
During the first few weeks of school, we like to focus on getting to know each other, building a sense of community, and establishing our classroom routines.
I will post a weekly update on this class site every Sunday evening, to keep you informed of our learning and any other relevant information that I need to share with you.

A dated note from home is also acceptable with their first and last name, as long as you are sure your child will remember to hand the note into their teacher upon arrival to school. If a note or phone call is not present, the child will be sent home on their normal bus run.
Peanut Free / Seafood Free
§ This includes tree nuts and peanut substitutes as well, so as to avoid any confusion or anxiety for children with life threatening allergies.
Arrival
§ Our school doors open at 8:00 a.m. The children are to come directly inside upon arrival. It is best to be here no later than 8:20 a.m. so that your child has time to be in class and ready to start their day by 8:25 a.m. If your child is going to be late or absent and it has not been pre-arranged with myself please call the school at 902-569-0550 or send me an email. We are required to keep electronic attendance.
Homework
§ Homework is reading at least 15-20min every night, I will start sending books home in their homework bags in a couple of weeks. There is no homework log. I just strongly encourage daily reading. If you find it better for your child to write down the book that they have read, for accountability or motivation, feel free to keep a log at home and I don’t mind providing a notebook. Just let me know and I will put one in their homework bag.
