Upcoming Grade two field trips!!
Friday, May 15th: The Wizard of Oz
We will be leaving around 9:15 and returning around lunch
Wednesday, May 27th : Spring Fun in Robert Cotton Park (Rain date Thursday, May 28th)
8:45 - 12:00
Tuesday, June 2nd : Orwell Corner (In Social Studies we have been learning about what life was like 100 years ago. This field trip is a great learning opportunity to see first hand. A form for this field trip will go home later in the month- the cost will be $2.00.)

Friday, June 19th : Shining Waters this is our special end of the school year field trip. If you would like to volunteer to help out at Shining waters, you must have a recent criminal record check and get to Shining Waters park on your own. Parent Volunteers can not travel on busses. If you are interested in volunteering send me a message at sgbradley@edu.pe.ca

Wednesday, April 29th- Our Easter Seals ambassador Rowan MacDonald is coming to our school. Our 2D class raised $200.00 from our hat day and PJ day!! Thanks so much for sending in your donations!
Friday, May 1st is a PD day and there is no school for the students
In Social studies we have started our unit on Life Long Ago and the students are enjoying learning and comparing what life was like 100 years ago.
In Math, we have started 2 digit subraction with regrouping. This is a difficult concept for some and I will be teaching a few different strategies.

Spring Photos: Everest Solutions will be back at Glen Stewart Primary on April 1st and 2nd to take Spring Photos. April 1st will be for all English homeroom classes and April 2nd will be for all French Immersion home room classes.

Chocolate Bar Bingo: Glen Stewart Home & School will be hosting a Chocolate Bar Bingo night, Thursday, April 2nd, 6pm-7pm in the school gym.
Here’s how it works:
1- Purchase tickets for the event through our Glen Stewart Hot lunches program. Tickets are $10 per family.
2- Show up Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 to Glen Primary Stewart school with your family. Upon arrival , you and your family will receive your BINGO cards at the entrance table. Next, you can then make your way to the gym to find a space for you and your family to play. We will be playing numerous rounds of Chocolate Bar Bingo. The winners are loaded down with chocolate bars and treats!
Please bring cash as there will be a 50/50 draw and a small concession stand that will include treats and bottles of water.
We hope to see you there for a fun-filled evening of Glen Stewart School spirit- and chocolate!
