Smart phones and other personal electronic devices are to be turned off and stowed in backpack/purse during school hours.
In the event a student chooses not to stow the smart phone or other personal electronic device the device will be taken and turned in to the front office.
Security will be called, and student will be taken to the office with a discipline referral if the student refuses to submit device.
Students can access all assignments in Google Classroom.
Grades are recorded as a zero (0) in Skyward until the assignment is submitted.
Each assignment has a listed due date. Assignments are expected to be submitted by the due date.
A student has seven (7) calendar days past the due date to submit the assignment with no penalty.
Special consideration to submit an assignment after seven (7) days will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
To request special consideration, the student must open the assignment in Google Classroom and post a private comment explaining the reason for special consideration.
The teacher will review the request and determine if special consideration is warranted.
The teacher’s decision is final.
Most assignments turned in with a score less than 70 may be redone by using the redo link left with the score in Google Classroom.
Students who have not completed an assignment are sent a reminder email with directions for submitting the assignment.
Parents and students are sent a weekly Progress Detail Report via email.
Parents of students whose average is below 70 receive a text message.
The text message contains the student's current average.
The text message contains information about mandatory tutoring.
