From Inside the Dorm
A beautiful Sunday morning meant that the boarders had some quality ‘down time’ after a busy week. With a scrumptious brunch to fuel the tum, the “free goof” bell soon sounded. Sunblock on, there was much splashing and laughter to while away the time.
With energy expanded, the library, tennis courts and basketball hoops were soon in demand; although there was also appeal in reading a favourite book and playing UNO in the shady spots, too.
With tea done and dusted, a group took a short walk to add to the Clifton iNaturalist app (we chalked up a Raucous Toad, a Marbled Fruit Chafer, an Orbweaver Spider and also spotted a shed snakeskin outside the dining hall.
Storm clouds started to build as evening drew nearer, perfect timing to watch a bit of SA20 cricket, and play some tree cricket and tennis.
Before we knew it, the day had drawn to a close, dinner time and Mr Majola’s Sunday message.
