Miss Makensi Corn

She has been teaching at Crest Middle School since Spring of 2025 in 6th grade. She completed her student teaching in the Fall of 2024 in 8th grade science, but is currently teaching math. She LOVES everything Disney and travels to Disney World multiple times per year with friends. Her other favorite travel destination is to New York. She graduated from Kings Mountain High School and Appalachian State University. She earned her certifications in math, science, and history.

Mrs. Kim Lawson

She has been teaching at Crest Middle School since 2012, in both 7th and 8th grade science. She continues to build on her two decades of science instruction and leadership. This is her 27th year teaching middle school. She has been married to Wesley since 2001, and has two sons: Cole-19 and Cooper-15, and a Yorkie, Rocky-7. She loves watching TV, planning events, and taking cruises and traveling the world. She is a member of Pleasant City Church. Mrs. Lawson is one of the founding sponsors of the Crest Middle Jr. Civitan club.

Mrs. Madelyn Parker

She has been teaching at Crest Middle School since 2016. This is her 9th year teaching, mostly in 7th grade Social Studies, but has been in 8th grade English/Language Arts for the last few years. She has been married to Zach since 2016 and has 3 Great Danes: Coolidge, Clara, and Cheney. She loves to read, spend time with her family, and travel to the mountains. She helps with local events such as the American Legion Baseball game, and the Cleveland County Board of Elections voting process.
