This course is designed to provide students basic information about the drone industry to gain an understanding of careers and skills in this field. FAA 14 CFR part 107 (The Small UAS Rule), officially known as "Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate" is covered. The Small UAS rule adds a new part 107 to Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) to allow for routine civil operation of small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in the National Airspace System (NAS) and provide safety rules for those operations. This course is also designed for an introduction to basic flight of drones to include manual flight and flight mapping software. Minimum 16 age requirement for enrollment by the end of the course due to FAA Part 107 U.S. Commercial Drone Pilot Certification age requirement.
