This resource was created for parents, teachers, students, and anyone else interested in academically and/or intellectually gifted education. This link specifically was designed for educators and staff associated with teaching and supporting gifted students within the school setting. This resource offers curriculum resources, supports for differentiation, and discusses the history of giftedness within the classroom. 

The Association for the Gifted is a great resource for teachers looking to gain more information on diversity, equity, and access for gifted and talented students. This resource does a great job of presenting teachers with the reasons for why professional learning is crucial for educators learning more about how to teach gifted and talented students. This resource is special to me, because it lists next steps and resources for how to begin learning more about gifted education through professional learning.  

The Academy of achievement is a great nonprofit organization that has been running for 6 decades. This is a great resource for teachers looking for resources to discover and encourage interests. This resource can be used in the classroom to discuss and learn things about topics and people that students are most interested in learning about. This can be used as a whole group discussion piece or be assigned to students to do their own independent studies. I love that this resource helps gifted students to stimulate curiosity, and enhance their research skills, as both of these works to help students think critically/creatively. My favorite part of this resource is the section about the six keys to success, as this serves as a great foundation for getting students to think about success and what they want their lives to look like down the road. 

This article by Claire Hughes and Wendy Murawski serves as a great resource for teachers wanting to learn about collaboration and co-teaching for the benefit of gifted and talented students. This article also does a great job of presenting facts and research on the benefits of co-teaching. This article also presents a model for how to begin the coteaching process and it even has a section on the challenging parts of coteaching and how to work through those. 

Highlighting this resource provides teachers with the information needed to know how advocacy can happen at three levels (Federal, State, and Local). For each of these levels, this website provides multiple resources for each. I love that this resource also offers tips for educators that are just starting the advocating process for gifted and talented students.

This resource was brought to us from the World Council for Gifted and Talented Students, which is a worldwide nonprofit organization that was created over 40 years ago for the purpose of advocacy and support for gifted and talented students. This linked resource specifically provides educators with information regarding professional learning in gifted education. This website provides videos and resources regarding the principles of professional learning in gifted education. This research works to guide educators on what a strong professional learning in gifted education program looks like. I like that this resource offers information and guidance on each of the 11 principles regarding professional development in gifted and talented education. 

This resource presents several myths about gifted students. The myths are presented and then immediately following the truth for each myth is revealed. These myths cover multiple gifted topics, including giftedness & disabilities, gifted programs, and the role of gifted students in the classroom. 

Highlighting this resource provides teachers with the information needed to know about creating a culturally responsive classroom that affirms culturally different gifted students. This article goes over the major components of a culturally responsive classroom including environment, curriculum, instruction, and assessment. 

Utilizing this resource, teachers can learn more about what twice-exceptional students are and how their needs can be met through a team approach. This resource also presents the reasons for how these students often get overlooked, how to identify these students, and how we can support these students in our classrooms. 

This is a great resource that allows teachers to learn more about how poverty can impact giftedness This article also describes several strategies, interventions, resources in regard to poverty's impact on gifted education 

This website gives numerous resources for integrating Social Emotioanl and Racial Identity that promotes belonging in regard to gifted students. This website also provides a clear understanding of how Socio-emotional Learning, Culture, and Racial Identity are all connected and provides next steps for incorporating these things in our classrooms for gifted students. 

This resource offers educators a deep dive into The Three Ring Conception of Giftedness by Joseph Renzulli. Allowing teachers to learn more about such a promiement conception of giftedness can allow them to understand gifted students more by helping them to understand more about identification and programming utilizing this most common conception. 

This resource is great for teachers wanting to learn more about gifted students. This resource walks teachers through the fact that there is no one-size-fits-all way to learn and how true that is for gifted students as well. This page will explore the different curriculum models most commonly used in gifted education. 

This resource offers educators a tool displaying what the best practices in gifted education currently are. This resource dives into best practices, equitable identification, program models, and curriculum and instruction regarding gifted students. This website is a great tool for learning more about what should be happening in the gifted classroom.
