This unit builds on students' understanding of telling time to the nearest five minutes from previous grade level by now telling time to the nearest minute. Students will learn to distinguish between times in the 24-hour day that are in the a.m. and times that are in the p.m. Students will use number lines to represent and find elapsed time when given a start time and an end time. This unit will end with students using number lines and analog clocks to represent and find start times or end times when given the elapsed time.Â
