Year 12 Summer work:

You are to visit an art gallery of your choice. (This can be in London or elsewhere)

You are to create 25 studies of your journey to the art gallery and in the art gallery. This should be from door to door.

Consider the following below (here are a some examples to get you started):

• Views on the way to the gallery

• Train ticket

• Who you sat next to on the bus or the train

• Food you ate / wrappers

• Road signs

• Markings on the road

• Images of your favourite artwork in the gallery along with written explanation / concept

•  Famous landmarks you pass

• People you passed on the way

• Nature

Consider some of the following materials to achieve the above outcomes:

• Observational drawings

• Photographs

• Paintings

• Collage

• Collect leaflet from the art gallery

The above can be completed on individual pieces of paper - different coloured paper, textures, backgrounds, not just plain white paper. Think about the varying sizes you want to work on.
