That every PP student and their family have regular one-to-one contact to build relationships with school and overcome any barriers.
This is not to take the place of existing pastoral relationships but adding another layer of support and giving the student/family a voice in school.
The programme focuses:
Closing the gap in relation to attainment and attendance
Having meaningful and regular contact with pupils and family
Tackling barriers around accessing education, working with outside agencies and engaging local services
Listening to parental views and agreeing mutual targets and outcomes
Safeguarding pupils
Data Tracking
Delivering or organising targeted one to one or group session interventions.
To share information with key players in student’s school and home lives.
To promote the service and use the ACE Mentoring service to its potential.
To encourage relationships between students/staff and families.
To get involved - attend breakfast club, drop in to interventions, chat to mentees about how their ACE experience is.
Update and track data, agree targets and meet regularly to discuss progress
