Aims of the ACE Programme 

• That every PP student and their family have regular one-to-one contact to build relationships with school and overcome any barriers.

• This is not to take the place of existing pastoral relationships but adding another layer of support and giving the student/family a voice in school.

The programme focuses:

• Closing the gap in relation to attainment and attendance

• Having meaningful and regular contact with pupils and family

• Tackling barriers around accessing education, working with outside agencies and engaging local services 

• Listening to parental views and agreeing mutual targets and outcomes

• Safeguarding pupils

• Data Tracking

• Delivering or organising targeted one to one or group session interventions.

• To share information with key players in student’s school and home lives.

• To promote the service and use the ACE Mentoring service to its potential.

• To encourage relationships between students/staff and families.

• To get involved - attend breakfast club, drop in to interventions, chat to mentees about how their ACE experience is.

• Update and track data, agree targets and meet regularly to discuss progress
