September 29 - Reception (PRIVATE)

Marsh McLennan Agency of Boston hosts a reception on Sunday evening before the competition starts. This event is an excellent chance to socialize and connect with the 2024 Cleantech Open Northeast cohort, mentors, and sponsors prior to the Regional Finals! By invitation only.

September 30 - Semi-Finals Judging (PRIVATE)

Private judging is for all startups in the cohort that have completed their deliverables and submitted them on time. Each startup will have 10 minutes to give their 10-minute pitch to a panel of judges. The semi-finals judges will have reviewed your deliverables and rated them prior to the semi-finals. Collectively, the semi-finals judges – with the guidance of the Judging Committee – will select the Finalists that will pitch in the public forum the next day at the Northeast Regional Finals. Six Finalists will compete for $70,000 in cash prizes, including four general prizes, plus three specialty prizes in agriculture/food/land use, carbon sequestration, and water. This is a private event – just for the startups and invited judges. All six Finalists, plus two runners up, are invited to pitch at the Global Forum and compete for the National Grand Prize (a $50,000 SAFE note). This is a private event for startups and invited judges only.

September 30 - Investor Connect (PRIVATE)

The Investor Connect is an opportunity for startups graduating from the Cleantech Open Northeast cohort to meet in a speed-dating format with various investors. Investors include angels, venture capitalists, impact investors, corporate strategics, and grant providers. This is a private event for startups and invited investors only.

October 1 - Final Awards & Showcase

This is a very exciting event as we will be celebrating over 40 cleantech startups that will have completed the 2024 Cleantech Open accelerator as part of the Northeast cohort. The event features a Showcase of all of the graduating startups, pitches (on stage) by the 6 finalists, live judging, cash awards, and networking. It's a celebration of cleantech innovation.
