The APPLICANT is the adult (parent, teacher, guardian) whose "account" the application will be registered under.
The CANDIDATE is the student who will be sitting for the exam. There can be multiple candidates within each booking, but only one applicant. An adult applicant (over 18) is able to register him/herself as a candidate.
The PRESENTER is the person who has helped the candidate prepare for the exam. Most commonly, this could be the student's teacher, studio, or school. The presenter should not be the student's name. If this field is left blank, the system will automatically assume that the applicant is the presenter.
The APPLICANT is the account holder and is therefore responsible for the payment of the total amount on the booking.
A theory PREREQUISITE for candidates entering Practical and Performance grades 6-8 must be met at the time of application. For a complete list, please see HERE.

Online bookings must be made by proper deadlines to be accepted. Once processed, you will receive a confirmation email and the booking should appear in your online portal.
Payment submitted via online booking system is processed immediately. If the payment fails, you will be notified immediately to retry the booking.
When you book a remotely-assessed (online) Performance Grade exam, you will need to select the date to upload your recording. This is your exam day.
When you book an In-Person (face-to-face) Practical Grade exam, you will select a date range of when you'd like to sit for the exam. You will then be booked into a particular slot depending on the total time of your grade level and instrument. Below is a general outline of when In-Person Practical Grade Exams typically occur in Texas:

Applicants (account holder) is able to select the date range for a specific candidate (student). However, specific requests ("Thursday @ 3:15pm") cannot be immediately honored. Late bookings and changes may be available via online portal depending on remaining slots within each region or exam venue. Please see HERE for more details.
Applicants are able to withdraw from the exam within 14-days after the deadline ("Cooling period") and receive a full refund.
Applicants who wish to withdraw from the exam after the "Cooling period" may receive partial refund by sending such request in writing to the local representative. The amount of partial refund is determined by the nature of the extraneous circumstance. Any support document (physician's note, formal letter from school officials...etc.) should accompany the request to be considered for a partial refund.
Applicants who withdraws on the exam day, or missed the exam slot, will not be entitled to any refund or rescheduling.

"Marked Forms" or Practical Grade exam results will be available in your online portal within 10 days after the conclusion of your region's exam period. You (the applicant, not the candidate) will also receive an email prompting you to view your score when ready.
Online Theory exam results (grades 1-5) are released in your portal within 7 business days after the exam. You (applicant) will receive an email prompting you to view the score via the online portal.
In-Person Theory exam results (grades 6-8) are released in your portal within 4 weeks after the exam date. You (applicant) will receive an email prompting you to view the score via the online portal.
Both Theory and Practical exam certificates are produced and shipped from London. Therefore, applicants will receive them 6-8 weeks after the conclusion of the exam session. For complete details, please click HERE.
