CAST PA Notes

Theater is not only a hobby, but in some ways can morph into a lifestyle. One second, you're attending the required meeting for a musical, and the next you're attending rehearsal every day after school, calling lines, and gaining valuble relationships. When I walked into the cast PA position, I didn't have an exact idea of what I'd be doing, but was exited to get to work. As I reflect on the time spent working on Spongebob, I want to thank the enire cast for showing up with smiles and putting their all into every rehearsal. Memorizing and perfecting an entire musical is no small feat, and the cast made it look fun and easy. I'd like thank the directors for the hours and days spent planning and making notes, becuase watching this musical come together has been an incredible experience.

I hope that through watching this performance of Spongebob The Musical, the effort and talent of the performers does not go unoticed, and that the vision we had truly comes to life!

TECH PA Notes

We have spent hours and days working on these wonderful set pieces. Building and painting, seeing everything come together slowly. We have been working behind the scenes to deliver an amazing set for this production, everything from Mount Humongous to the grill of your favorite fry cook. We have had so many cool moments, splinters, and messes, but it was all worth it to see this masterpiece come to life and transform you into an underwater, tropical, new world. Painting, screwing, to make our work look it’s best, learning new skills to make our jobs easier, making mistakes that make our job harder, at the end making our builds look better than before, better each time, ready for the big day.

COSTUME PA Notes

We are on our last week of regular costume crew while writing this and a lot of our friends and classmates have asked us why we chose to be PA's. The reason is something that we both share, we love costume crew. It has been a crucial part of both of our middle school experiences, and we wanted to make sure that for our last show we would do the same thing all of our PA's did, and make sure that everyone gets to experience the same incredible feeling that costume crew provides in the same way that we did. We want to give a special thank you to everybody from cast to costume crew. Every single person who worked on this show made it better and we want to make sure that they know it. We also want to thank every single director who gave up their afternoons and nights to coach students and give them a chance to express themselves. Especially our personal favorite, the amazing costume director: Mrs.Miller. Thank you all so much.
