Kid Zone
KZ News!
Happy Monday! Thank you all for the wonderful appreciation gifts last week. We are so grateful to have so many amazing families that support us. We couldn't do this job without all of you! The KZ teachers hope that everyone had an amazing weekend. We have some updates about KZ registration for the 2024-2025 school year and some KZ polices, so please take a look below!
Parent Survey
A Kid Zone parent survey will be sent out by Tyler today. You will have until Friday, May 10th to complete this. This survey will give Kid Zone administration parent feedback on the current program and possible ways to grow the program.
24-25 Kid Zone Registration
Priority registration is not a guarantee of acceptance into the program. Program offerings at the elementary schools for the 2024-2025 school year will consist of AM full time, PM full time and AM/PM full time. (Family Center offerings will include 2, 3 and 4 day options for FC classes that meet 2, 3 or 4 days a week.) Families will be advised of acceptance into program or waitlist status via email from lindavillaire@claytonschools.net no later than May 20.
Kid Zone Talent Show!
Kid Zone is having our annual talent show on Friday, May 17th from 4:00pm - 6:00pm in the Meramec Gym. We can't wait to see all of the amazing talents from students this year! There will be sign up flyers on the parent desk today. We will begin practice beginning Wednesday, May 8th!
Recyclables
Kid Zone is collecting the following recyclables: pop up caps from water or sports drink bottle, CDs, paper towel rolls, and toilet paper rolls. Please hand these items to the sign in teacher at drop-off or pick up.
If you have not done so, make sure to follow our Instagram page @claytonkidzone !

Friendly Reminders
Kid Zone follows the school classroom expectations. No toys or personal play items should be brought from home. Items brought from home will be kept in the child's backpack or in a safe place until the child is picked up.
Smart watches and similar wearable devices should be placed in airplane mode to reduce the distraction of notifications. Parents are encouraged to contact/call/text our Kid Zone cell phone to communicate messages to their child in lieu of texting or calling the student’s device. If any electronic device is being used inappropriately the student will be asked to put it away in their backpack or leave with Kid Zone staff for safe keeping, until pick up.
