Each school and program should only submit 3 per level per school (i.e. Spanish 1--3 submissions per school)
Website design: Using a digital medium, create a website encouraging someone to visit a particular city or country. Include accommodations, sites to see, travel information as well as highlight restaurants and entertainment venues. Submit a picture via Google Drive.
Calligraphy: Students are asked to use calligraphy to write one of the phrases depicted here and submit a picture via Google Drive.
Graphic design: Create a poster detailing why someone should take Arabic, French, Chinese, Latin or Spanish. Include three benefits as well as images to reinforce your ideas. Share or submit via Google Drive.
Open design: Create a piece of art which reflects a cultural experience or inspiration from learning your language. Your piece may use any medium or format.

Students will create a video which can contain a small group of 2-5 students or be a monologue. The video must contain the target language both in spoken and in written words. There is no set topic, but all material should be appropriate for a school age audience. Skits and monologues may be submitted via Flipgrid or Google Drive no later than March 21st in an .mp4 format.

Middle: 1-2 minute skit in the target language
High: 2-3 minute skit in the target language

Students will have one minute to look over a level appropriate reading which may come from contemporary sources or literature. They will then read the piece with the best intonation, fluency, pronunciation, accent and focus on meaning.

Students will have 2 minutes to study a set of pictures and prepare a description items and actions depicted in the picture in the target language.

Students can perform a previously prepared song in the target language. Students will be scored on memorization, fluency, poise, accent, pronunciation and expression and will perform the music on March 22nd for a committee of evaluators.

Students will receive words appropriate to their level. The words will be delivered in the target language, and the students will give the English definition. This competition will be held like a spelling bee. The student who is able to deliver all the definitions asked will be declared the winner.
