Student Class Selection for Next School Year
9th Grade
1. Each student will sign into Skyward.
2. Click- Open Student Access
3. Click- Request Courses for 2026-2027 in Clay County High School
4. Request the following classes- English I, Algebra I, World History, Lifetime Wellness, Agriscience, Computer Science, the program of study class they are choosing, and one elective class.

As part of our Integrated School Models Grant, all Clay County students have access to Major Clarity!
Go to CLEVER, then click the blue Major Clarity button, then hit SIGN IN WITH CLEVER.
Adults sign in with Google.
Career Awareness is an introductory course designed to build foundational knowledge of career opportunities through:
(a) examining key characteristics evident in successful leaders;
(b) connecting academic aptitude and personal strengths to postsecondary and career success;
(c) bringing awareness to career availability in various contexts.
Upon completion of this course, proficient students will
understand their own strengths and academic skills
explain specific careers and career sectors of interest
develop an understanding of the
career pathways
postsecondary education institutions
employers located in their greater community.
Students will also demonstrate soft skills (e.g. teamwork, self-advocacy, and effective communication), alongside technical skills (e.g. time management and goal creation) to practice critical skills needed in the workplace.
